Course Overview:

The Phuket bKK TEFL/TESOL course is Thai government approved and surpasses the international standards for TESOL certification. Our program is 4 weeks/130 hours of intensive training covering all aspects of teaching English to foreign students. The course is designed to be highly practical, placing emphasis on real-life skills and the knowledge needed to provide you with both the confidence and competence to prepare you for all classroom situations. We also include 15 hours of Thai language and Asian culture lessons. The Thai lessons help raise the students awareness of the difficulties involved with learning a foreign language while the Asian culture lessons are required before you can teach in Thailand or its neighboring Asian countries.

Scheduling:

Our program is 4 weeks/130 hours of dynamic trainee led sessions. Classes are Monday thru Friday, the school is closed Saturdays and Sundays leaving weekends free for the students. The first 3 weeks of classes are from 10am until 6pm and include 1hour of Thai Language and Culture lessons. A one hour lunch break is scheduled between 1pm and 2pm daily. There will be more free time during week 4, but the student will need to use it wisely to prepare for their teaching sessions and exams. We allow a maximum of 8 students per course to insure the students receive the best training possible.

Requirements:

• The course is available to people of all nationalities.
• You must be 18 years or older.
• Your passport must be valid for 6 months beyond the date of entry into Thailand.
• You should have as a minimum a 30 day tourist visa which many countries people can get upon entry into Thailand, but we recommend you get a 60 day tourist visa (which may be extended to 90 days) from the Thai Embassy in your country prior to coming to Thailand so you will have more time to find a job and enjoy the hospitality of Thailand and its people.
• You should be able to speak, read and write English fluently.
• You should have the ability to explain ideas and give instructions clearly.
• You should have as a minimum, an Associates degree from any accredited college, but a degree is not required to take the course. You will need a college degree if you hope to work in government schools, international schools or universities.

• The student is responsible for their own food and beverage.
• The student is responsible for any damages to hotel room or motorbike.
• The student is responsible for their own job interviews.
• The student is responsible for their transportation unless included in package.
• The student is responsible for return transportation to the airport.
• The student is responsible their laundry.
• The student should bring at least one set of clothes suitable for teaching and job interviews, (black slacks, dress shoes, collared shirt) or be prepared to buy them.
